I had discussed a final release of 3.4.02 before I go on holidays, say this weekend.

At this stage is it unlikely due to both time commitments on my part (I need to go to work so as to earn more money) and some health issues and lastly just a few remaining stubborn bugs.

So, this means I think what I will do it skip 3.4.02 as a proper release, work on issues and new content over the break and release 3.4.03 after I return.

On Twilight Sparkle

Just as an aside here, there were quite a few people complaining about the release for Twilight Sparkle, mainly saying she is an animal and should not be in the game.

She is not an animal, she can talk, and is a person, she is not a beast. This puts her in the 'Furry' category, she may not be anthropomorphic but still a furry.

I will be including her is the full game releases. If for some reason you dislike her, but like the other furry slaves, then she can be disabled by deleting the file
Slaves/SlaveGirl116.txt
She will never appear in the game.

If you dislike furries in general then disable the choice on Options and she will not appear, along with the other furry slaves. Note: this does not actually happen for the current release for Twilight Sparkle but is a trivial edit I will request of her developer

Doing Stuff

As you will have seen from my last post I have been working on the documentation of the game for people who want to develop content for the game.

I have been working more on the SDK, it is been a bit of a break from bug hunting and other work on the game. I also find it useful to help me think on the design and structure of parts of the game as I document it. I have been doing some small changes when I find something just works oddly or is awkward to use and document. I have also fixed a few trivial bugs in the game while doing this, for instance when checking the document on houses I found a shortcut was not working in that area.

On a personal note, I will be going on holidays in about 2 weeks until new years and will have limited internet connectivity while away.

This is an unofficial beta for version 3.4.02 a bugfix update for 3.4.01

Please do not post any bug reports for it here, instead post in the bug report thread at the Futanari Palace

This should fix most of the outstanding issues for 3.4.01, including issues for slave maker resting, some contest problems, training issue and multiple other fixes.

To Install
download and copy into your game installation. Extract there and replace any files when asked. Do not extract into a subfolder


NOTE:
Like any beta use as your own risk, I am still sorting out issues so this could cause other problems. Keep a copy of any save games, ie load the save and then save to a new slot and use the new version.
I do not think there are many significant issues here though.

Just to let people know a few bits.  I am working on sorting out the bugs in the 3.4.01 release, some fixed some being worked on.

My apologies I have not done a lot of actual bugfixing this last week. a combination of health and some motivation. Bug fixing can at times be both a frustrating and almost depressing thing to do. You think you have things working properly and then all these bugs are reported showing how incompetent you are, so a little depressing. Some bugs are hugely hard to find, and often take a trivial small change to fix, when you manage to find it.

I have been working a bit on updating the game to allow multiple cities, so instead of only playing in the capital Mardukane, you can play in other cities. The game does now mostly support this, I recoded some parts of the game to handle this, but actually creating a city is a big thing, many events would need to be re-written for instance, and new NPC's developed. Still I am starting to add a new city called Dunmyre, a major port city, a base for buccaneers and traders. The character Lady Farun is based on, Ivy, her father is a renowned pirate after all , so I may link this in some way. Others had suggested a city that is the home for Count Gossem, but at the moment I will leave that for others.

Please also note for the last release

• I included the wrong version of Holo, a development version of 2.0 was in the release. Any issue for Holo are purely due to that. I will re-release the working verson 1.5 for her in the next update

There have been reported a couple of problems for the 3.4.01 release

Using old saves
Using a save game from version 3.4 can cause problems with visiting people and some places. The save game was incorrectly upgraded

Blank labels for some items in the slave Equipment
when loading a save some labelscan be blank

Resetting of people between slaves
Some NPC's do not reset properly between slaves

Slave Maker 3.4.01 Update and Full Release

This is an update for the game, to fix a lot of bugs in the game, notably issues for game endings and quite a few problems for events when walking and many general bugs. There are a lot less bugs in this release but some remain as I have seen posted recently. Still this is a much more functional version of the game.

Also included in this release

• New slave Kannu Unchou from Ikkitousen
• update for Aya Shameimaru
• many Minor Slaves and Assistants have had updated images sets to include additional images for the new sex acts for Intimacy in Talk to Slaves. A lot have had pregnant images added. 
• Many Minor Slaves have had images added so if you use the 'Fully Train option then they will have images during training. When you select to 'Fully Train' you will get an indication of the number of images available for them
• New Minor Slave 'Pfil' from Bondage Fairies manga by Kondom. She is an alternate reward for helping the fairies at the Farm
• New Minor Slave 'Merceded' from Odin Sphere. Can be encountered, but only after you obtain the slave Arak
• New assorted events by ElPresidente
• Fixes for Twins type slaves like Panty and Stocking so phrasing and references are better. Similarly for cases where you choose to have no assistant.

Note: the game is currently 6.03Gb in size




Upgrading
To upgrade an existing installation you can use either the torrent or download the update file provided

Torrent
This process is somewhat safer than the filehost method below, as after the torrent finishes you will have all files in the game in their correct locations. You may have some files duplicated in old locations but they are harmless, but will take some excess space on you hardrive.

• start the torrent, wait for it to allocate all files and start downloading.
• stop the torrent and exit your client (do not delete the torrent, just pause it)
• find the folder your torrent client downloads into and the SlaveMaker 3.4 folder it is using
• copy your current game into that folder, replacing all files when asked.
• Move the folder Images/Morrigan to Images/Slaves/Morrigan
• re-run your torrent client and resume the torrent. It will now continue, and a large percentage of the new version will be complete already 

Filehosts
Download the update and copy into your game installation. Extract it overwriting any files when asked. DO NOT extrack into a subfolder.

Theses are the game divided into parts, each allowing selected portions of the game to be dowloaded. This allows you to save download time and bandwidth as you need.

All files in the packs are in the torrent version, there is no need to download both

Installing:

Download the file or files and extract into a folder of your choice. Each downloaded file will create a folder

if asked merge any folders in common, you should not be asked to overwrite any files, but if asked then agree to do so.
DO NOT extract each pack into a separate folder, make sure each are extracted into the same base folder

Starting Release

I am starting the release for version 3.4.01. I have stopped seeding the torrent for version 3.4 and I am uploading the update files.

Status

A quick update, sorry things a little delayed, health mostly, but actively speaking to my doctor and altering medications, diet, exercise. Not there yet, I felt poorly today.

Still the update for the game is almost there (sorry said that last time). The last beta had only small issues raised. Once I fix them I will post the update, via
- torrent for the full game, this can update your existing installation
- minimal update with fixes only
- maximal update will all new content for the game since 3.4 was released, including Kannu and an update for Aya

Status

Small update,
version 3.4.01 is still pending, but I have fixed amonst other things the end game issue, that was a little complex to get right!

Note on end games for 3.4.01

• Freelancers can now get custom endings if you keep the slave, they were explicitly excluded before they can get them now BUT only custom endings for the slave, for instance Shampoo's Dickgirl-Mother, Ayane's Loyal etc.
• You can get multiple 'Meta' endings now like Dickgirl, Cumslut, and maybe more as time allows.
• Some text formatting issues were fixed

A few more days until I release the version, I just need to review the bug reports and check all issues are fixed that I can reproduce.

I have also been
- updating some assistants and minor slaves to fix and improve images, or add for new sex acts
- fix a bug for Assistant Taki, mind you she has a nice (brief) story idea that can easily have events added, I must add a few as time allows

The image is one of the edits I have done, to try to make sure we have a pregnant image where possible, so I took an existing naked image for Kitana and added a pregnant belly. Have done the same for Jade as well, and will probably do one for Samui.

3rd Party Updates

Some updates for version 3.4

- I am now happy with the integration of the fairy Pfil for the game, the events and images are done. A LOT of editing was needed!

- Chaos-X has sent me an update for the assistant Kanako, I will release the update soon

- bug hunting otherwise continues!!

- I was adding an event for recruiting a fairy slave, Mercedes
from "Odin Sphere" and found a neat CG set by the circle/company "Vanadis", they really like monster girls and have excellent artist(s). Some of their art is used for Marey for instance. I found some really neat Spider Girl images that integrate with the event for Mercedes. So this means we may have a new capturable slave, but probably in version 3.4.02.

- SeiaDoon and abisal have released an early alpha for Kida from the excellent movie "Atlantis the Lost Empire". It is an early release, and needs a lot of image work. I have been asked to note that Kida is nowhere near releasable yet.

- Baalshazar has been doing quite a few updates for the slave Aya Shameimaru

- Kaiser Ryu is working on an update for Nina Windia

- Silvertop is working on a new slave, Kanu from Ikkitousen, says most images are ready to go, but is looking/editing a range of pregnant images. Silvertop is also working on the German translation for the game.

- ElPresidente is working on a xml alternate version of Asuka with a range of events with the barmaid Sora

Status

I have been a little unwell recently so the update 3.4.01 is still in development. A number of fixes are complete but others are still pending.

I have done some small changes otherwise, bug fixing can be a little boring at times.

I am tweaking the fairy encounters so one possible reward for helping the fairies is a willing fairy slave, Pfil, from the mangas 'Bondage Fairies' by Kondom. These are early H-Mangas I remember fondly, despite the bestiality/insect-sex in it. Pfil is an almost complete slave.

I also have another fairy slave planned you can rescue from a spider-girl in the forest, based on Mercedes from 'Odin Sphere'. She is a young character and generally flat-chested, but I do not think underage.

I have also updated the minor slaves Maid Tara and Anesthesia for additional images and events.

In 3.4.01 there will be the ability to train fully any minor slave. If you do then you will see a lot of default images, but a few minor slaves are updated for more images (Maid Tara, Anesthesia, Pfil, Mercedes and a few images here and there for others)

Problems with verson 3.4

There have been some issues reported for version 3.4 that have not been addressed in the last fix. I am just here going to give some workarounds or direct you to fixes

Sora
Sora can appear ALWAYS when you have your slave work in the Sleazy Bar.  A small bug, and can be resolved by taking your slave for a walk in the Slums until you meet Sora there.

Chun-Li
The images for Chun-Li are missing for both torrent and Packs versions of the game. I have updated Slave Pack 3 to include the missing files. If you download and extract the pack into your game installations this will fix the issue

Super Sonico and Sona
The images for these slaves were mixed by accident in creating slave pack 11. Super Sonico's images were missing basically and mixed into Sona's folder. This issue does not exist for people who used the torrent. To resolve this download Slave Pack 11 and extract into your game installation. If preferred you can visit the Futanari Palace and download the slaves separately and install.


Issues requiring a new game update

Centaur Girl
If you enslave the centaur girl Marey then she still appears in the Forest. There is no solution to this aside from waiting for the update 3.4.01

Endings for slaves
A number of people have reported issues where custom endings are not seen. I can reproduce and undertand how this happen for slaves you personally own, like Shampoo, Ayane. I am not 100% sure otherwise of the cause of some, but I am aware of the reports.

Also, to repeat from some replies, please do note the Freelancer Slave Makers do not see any endings if they choose to keep the slave

Birthing Issues
There are some issues when a slave gives birth where the text and stat effects are mixed up with the main slave

There are quite a number of lesser bugs reported, some simple typos and some logic errors, I will endevour to have these fixed in the 3.4.01 release


 For some questions I have been asked

- if you select Rhia as you assistant she moves in, and becomes a permanent member of your home

- you cannot convert a minor slave to a traniable slave. The description I said in the feature list means that developers can do this if desired. In general Minor Slaves do not have enough images to create a full and trainable slave, so if I were to make this general you would see a lot of generic images and blank ones, especially dresses and mundane activities like cooking/cleaning etc.

- I should make the Slave Maker Witch and Pagan advantages more balanced


EDIT: Small Request
 One bug I have had reported a number of times is where the skills for your slave a mixed up, overlapping with the skills from a slave you have been talking to or your assistant. To date I have not been able to reproduce this or had someone tell be how to reproduce this reliably. By this a mean someone say
- do x, then do y, then do z and it will ALWAY happen
- and provide a save game that oes this, or give instruction how to do it from the start of a new game.
If you can reproduce this please let me know.

Since the release of 3.4 there have been reported a few issues and questions

Small Update
For bug reports here and the forums, here is a small fix for some reported issues. No coding changes are in this (except a trivial one for Krystal), I will release a formal 3.4.01 release in the future once I sort out some issues

• missing minor slaves due to an error in configuration1.xml
• missing slaves in the market if you used Slave Pack 9, not the torrent, as it was missing some of the files for Kim Possible. Slave Pack 9 has been updated and new links posted. The torrent did not have this bug.
• Nina, Lamia and Youmu showed the wrong message as to why they could not be trained.
• Nina, Lamia and Youmu could never be trained due to a 'bug', their xml is updated to work around this.
• Mikhaila's naked images did not show, the game required them to be png files, again a bug
• Krystal had a problem with changing from Feral to Beast
• Issues for Lunch and Launch, includes the code (xml, swf) for the assistant Roshi

Other reported bugs are under investigation.

 Other notes
The Assistant Arcueid now has a set of events where she can have her bloodlust inflamed, she will lose control and then will become enslaved and trainable as a slave

Multiple minor slaves have been updated for additional images for the new minor slave sex acts.

The spider girl Arak has new events, try chatting with her, and try letting her 'Play' as an order.

Since the last full version of 3.3 there have been multiple more slaves and minor slaves added to the game.

The centaur girl in the forest can be enslaved, if you have an item, a stat at a certain level and a skill. Only though if she is a dickgirl for now, to be extended for female versions when I write an alternate version of the combat.

Slave Maker Release: Version 3.4

This is the new release for the game, finally ready for all. While it is not bug free from the beta it is fairly stable and I will release fixes.

This contains all released content for the game, all 3rd party slaves, minor slaves, and events. It does exclude some content I do not wish to distrubute, like so loli minor slaves. If you must, there is a thread in the Futanari Palace with some such content.

Due to the amount of time since the last release and the number of changes for slaves, I am only going to provide a full installation for the game. Especially as there were issues people had with the locations of some slaves folders and missing images for minor slaves and so on. This will ensure we are all at the same point.

Still if bandwidth is an issue for you see lower, I will give instructions how you can upgrade an installation with minimal downloads (405Mb), and also by using the provided torrent.

Note: the game is currently 5.7Gb in size

SlaveMaker 3.4 in you standard torrent folder. When the torrent completes, move this to the location of your choice, you may rename it if you wish.

Packs

Theses are the game divided into parts, each allowing selected portions of the game to be dowloaded. This allows you to save download time and bandwidth as you need.

All files in the packs are in the torrent version, there is no need to download both

I will not be providing separate torrents for the packs.

The packs are

• Basic Pack - this is the core game. It is a basic playable version of the game with a few slaves,  assistants and minor slaves
• Assistants Pack - an add-on that adds many more assistants for the game
• Minor Slaves Pack - an add-on that adds many more minor slaves to the game
• Events Pack - an add-on that adds additional content to the game, developed by 3rd party developers
• Slave Packs 1 to 11 - These are collections of 10 slaves for the game (packs 10 and 11 have less than 10 slaves)

Installing:

Download the file or files and extract into a folder of your choice. Each downloaded file will create a folder
SlaveMaker 3.4
if asked merge any folders in common, you should not be asked to overwrite any files, but if asked then agree to do so.
DO NOT extract each pack into a separate folder, make sure each are extracted into the same base folder

Flash Oddities and hung games

I have had a report where a player would start the game and it hangs after selecting a slave. There were also only a few slaves shown.

After some testing and debugging this seems to have been caused by a Flash security issue preventing the game loading key files it needs to run, notably Assistants text files, and some of the slave girl files.

This can be fixed by adding the game installation to the Trusted Locations for Flash.

The below are for Windows 7, you may have some differences for Windows 8 or previous OS's. There are similar settings for other OS's but I do not know where they are immediately, you need to be able to change the Flash settings.

a) open the control panel
b) visit System & Security
c) Select the option for Flash
then
1) Check the Advanced tab
2) click "Trusted Location Settings"
3) click the Add button
4) click Add Folder, browse and locate your game installation, and click Confirm

OR
When running the game right click on the window and select "Global Settings", and do steps  1-4

You can also do this by visiting this web page

and do steps 1-4 above. This is probably simplest for non-Windows users

Please note:
not all players are affected by this it seems to be related to a security settings, in the OS or browser that probably makes Flash be more secure and prevent it loading some external files.

This may not actually help as I musunderstood the person reporting the issue and thought it was fixed when I asked them to do this. Turns out it was not.

Beta Complete

Recently I posted release 14 of the Beta for version 3.4. Also did 2 quick fixes.

I am not getting any significant issues, nothing game breaking. I will check any feedback from the last fix, but I would say based on this the beta test is complete.

I will move to making a new release of the game. This is a little complex to create and test the slave packs. I may do a brief test releases, or just go fully.

So Version 3.4 will be being release within the next week, let us say most likely not this weekend but the next to allow me some checking a final bug fixes and then enough time to check the release.

Update

As you see my hope to get the game released before the end of last month did not work. The last beta has issues, but not too many (one biggy though). I hope to release one last beta later today and assuming no significant issue that will be it, I will release version 3.4

Midna problem

In February I released an unoffocial update for the slave Midna. There is a bug in the release that can block following slaves from appearning in the Slave Market.

If you see this then the fix is simple

a) edit the file
Slaves/SlaveGirl93.txt

b) change the text using an editor like NotePad, VI etc. Alter

Still Here!

Hi, I had bad cold last week (a fairly chill winter here so far) so not too much this week. Still recovering from it not 100% yet.

Rapidshare, the filehost I have been using for years, is discontinuing it's free accounts at the end of this month, so all my rapidshare links will become invalid at the end of this month.

As such I am aiming to try to release the new version 3.4 by the end of this month if I can, it will depend on health, time and the such, but should be possible. I hope to release a new and hopefully last beta today.

Still Slow

Sorry, I had a horrible week last week with recurrent severe migranes. It was difficult to do much at all.

Fortunately better today, and I just then implemented Mesmerism abilities for Vampires and optionally (via an advantage) for other types of Slave Makers. Works mostly like the "Cock of Demonic Origin" morning power (with different text) . There is an additional event where you can influence a Nun if she refuses to allow your slave to work as an Acolyte. More such will be added when I think of places to use it. Also added to same 'event' options to bribe and to use your nobility (if you have it) to insist. All of these are dependent on Slave Maker stats to succeed.
EDIT: updated Mesmerism so if your assistant is a vampire then they can do it too

Fixed a couple of bugs and restructured a little code for the above.

Hi,
a small note: the game has really been annoying me recently.

I tried to refact too much for the new version 3.4 and sort of overwhelmend by bugs I should of caught in testing before.

Some issues where left over bugs from 3.3 like some issues for Ayane, Akane and a few other slaves so nice to get them resolved.

Still a combination of bugs, some depression and bad health have been slowing down thing recently. I have to have a much more functional beta out this week or this weekend.

Many bugs fixes but probably many more added. Notably save/load issues and pregnancy, love problems should be fixed. Also issues for events resetting between slaves, and an issue for skills messing
up/overlapping.

The game got a neat gui/graphic update, new maps and a fair bit more content. As you see from the version it is not complete yet, but all funding is complete.

Small Updates

Mai Shiranui version 1.1
This is an update of Mai, to add additional images and rearrange images a bit. There are no additional events or custom trainings for Mai at ths stage, that will wait for version 2.0. Small changes were done to make Mai a hybrid slave and she now has a small swf file, this was more as an exercise to demonstrate how to do it.

Extensive image changes were done to this release, thanks to a kind person who posted alternate picks via this blog. I only used a subset of their images due to either my disagreeing with their choices, anachronisms or excessive censorship for some images.

M.I.A Updates
 M.I.A posted an update for some of their assistants

Thanks to Stallord, who found out a long time ago that the assistants Lillymon and Colette cannot get pregnant from the slaver due to their custom intimacy texts, here is a small fix for both assistants, in English and French. At first, I wanted to release them only with the new SM game version, but it's better to put them out now. I had tested Lillymon with Maran, Colette with Cora and both is working a-ok.

Just a general update of me, the game etc

In General
It is horrible weather here, days near 40C for the last week, and we had a similar heat wave maybe 3 weeks ago.
My health has been a bit rough, from broken sleep as that causes issues for me. Money (or lack thereof) is problematic but manageable.

So I am in the proverbial interesting times recently


The Game
You will have seen a few release recently of edits for slaves, in some cases to do bug fixes/delayed updates. A couple more are pending, notably

• Nami - the previous version was not publically released due to bestiality issues, but that has been fixed thanks to CampeonKid. The releases images still need work, to improve images like dresses etc. So a release will follow when time permits
• Mai Shiraniu - a kind person had posted a while ago an update for her. I did not 100% agree with their image choices but they were largely good. I am working to combine and improve. I may also make her a 'gateway' slave to introduce/add a new "Topless" training, an intermediate between "Expose" and "Naked for the day"
• Ranma - the long mentioned update is still pending, but at this time the new game release takes precendence
• Arcueid - the assistant Arceuid will be upgraded to a full slave, where she becomes enslaved after being your assistant for a time

 NOTE:
Version 3.3.04 only supports 100 slaves (3.4 will allow many more) so some of the slave updates rearranged the number allocated to slaves. This means some of the SlaveGirlxx.txt files were renamed.

New Game Release
 The next release wil probably be version 3.4, I will release it in the foreseeable future, hopefully this month, depends on testing and real life issues.

It will include (amongst other things)

• Puppy Girl Training
• Slave Maker Avatar images can become a sort of template, and affect initial stats or items of the Slave Maker
• More minor events, including multiple during training like Jobs, Schools, Chores
• lots of bug fixes (and probably lots of new bugs)

Otokawa Saori unofficial update 4a
As there has not been an update addressing the issues for Saori, as TheNightWalker just reminded me, I have just done a quick update for Saori, pending lordjason1231 releasing a fix.

This should be a completely functional version of Saori, with all the fixes I noted earlier, plus a couple of additional images to fill in the recommended events and one or two additional images from the game. Additionally I edited the images for Saori to remove logos that were present in many images. All png images were also optimised (ie losslessly compressed), Lastly it includes TheNightWalkers suggested Slave Market image. Also her age was increased to 18

Yuna Unofficial update version 0.21
The alpha release for Yuna had a number of image errors and missing images. As falcon_11 has not been active since July, here is a simple update to correct the reported issues and add the missing images. No other functional changes were done to Yuna

PS. I did a trivial edit for the Arcueid image to alter the date.

I am back from holidays now, a bit delayed, a bit of rough health at the end but better now.

I got a fair bit done over the holidays but not as much as I hoped

- a lot more of the game is translatable and converted to class based code. This makes the code less error prone and found quite a few bugs in the process. Also allows tweaks to text much more easily.

- small new features like some events and some some improvements but mainly bug fixing and tweaks.

- Arcueid is close to becoming a slave as well as an assistant. First off she will be an assistant and an event will happen and she will become enslaved. Event somewhat related to the True ending for the game and one of the Melty Blood options. Ren/Len will appear too, please note, she looks young and flat chested but not loli as she is not a child. She is an immortal succubus, shy and taciturn. Not sure if I will add any sex scenes (I only have a couple of images and she does look too young for my taste), but one of the few threesome images for Arcueid features her.
