Info

Just to let people know a few bits.  I am working on sorting out the bugs in the 3.4.01 release, some fixed some being worked on.

My apologies I have not done a lot of actual bugfixing this last week. a combination of health and some motivation. Bug fixing can at times be both a frustrating and almost depressing thing to do. You think you have things working properly and then all these bugs are reported showing how incompetent you are, so a little depressing. Some bugs are hugely hard to find, and often take a trivial small change to fix, when you manage to find it.

I have been working a bit on updating the game to allow multiple cities, so instead of only playing in the capital Mardukane, you can play in other cities. The game does now mostly support this, I recoded some parts of the game to handle this, but actually creating a city is a big thing, many events would need to be re-written for instance, and new NPC's developed. Still I am starting to add a new city called Dunmyre, a major port city, a base for buccaneers and traders. The character Lady Farun is based on, Ivy, her father is a renowned pirate after all , so I may link this in some way. Others had suggested a city that is the home for Count Gossem, but at the moment I will leave that for others.

  • I included the wrong version of Holo, a development version of 2.0 was in the release. Any issue for Holo are purely due to that. I will re-release the working verson 1.5 for her in the next update
  • zerowings has released an update for their slave Ritsuko Akizuki, version 1.5

  1. Before starting an entirely new city, wouldn't it be more intresting to develop the loose ends in the current storyline? :
    - e.g an ending to the neverending dueling visits of our dear lady G. Let's face it : she's not there for the sport, she's just there for the spankings. So let's up the stakes : once the SM has maxed his naginata and atck/def its slave traing and marriage with the SM for G, with a nobility upgrade for the SM, maybe even a new residence. (or a bad ending if you lose....)
    - Our milk obscessed count G seems to continue his activities after the milk scandal. He's not even that pissed at the SM. Lets have ourselves a little private war that results either in a final shutdown (good SM gets nobility upgrade) a takeover of his farming bussiness, (bad SM becomes cowtrainer) or a new bad ending.

      actually no! I develop this game for fun and work on areas I find interesting. So developing support for other cities is interesting to me due to the complexity and structural changes involved

  2. I appear to be stuck in some kind of 'automatic bad ending loop', where whatever I do, once I finish the Evening Training I systematically get the 'Stolen cowgirl ending'... which is FREAKING annoying. Seriously.
    I have the 'minerva' program that could allow me to ''edit'' the save files... but I'm not sure what to do, at this point.

    The slave is 'shampoo', and I wanted to get her as my assistant, at the end... Pretty sure you can, right ?

    1. If you talk about the normal 'cow girl ending', it work as intended, according to the wiki http://www.otakubell.com/smw/index.php/V3:Endings
      If you can edit your save, try to lower the number of milking events under 5 and you should reach another ending

    2. It specifically says : 'Stolen cowgirl' Ending... which isn't on the wiki, so I don't understand even more.
      But, I will try and edit the 'sm1slaves.sol' file, see if it does something.

    4. I will presume that the variable 'MilkInfluence' is the one I have to change ?

      -I just tried to lower it to '4', but I still get 'Stolen cowgirl' Ending ?
      EDIT : Lowering it to '1' apparently works. Weird.

    5. Stolen Cowgirl is the same as the Cowgirl ending, it was just changed in name a while ago

  3. Found a minor bug after recruiting mercedes with araks help. Whenever i return to the rocky beach the confrontation with the soidergirl reapears with all the previous options. If i try recruit mercedes again only the first recuited exist (intended like that i presume). The event repeats everytime i walk the rocky beach at night.

  4. i have no idea if this was a release or download error, but the 12 part fresh download didn't work fully as intended. got all the files, but the tayuya.swf and gardevoirattack.png files are broken.

    along with that a fresh new game seems impossible unless you want to be a herm, or sasuke uchiha(image) trying to play any others makes the game unplayable as you cant select'character traits.

  5. for some reason the tentacle kidnapping happens extreamly often, it happened to me 3 days straight, and i have tentacles set to rare, yet they appear all over the place

    also, a question about the point system, i cans seem to gain any at all no matter if its a good ending or special ending? and also, what does training affect at the end of a slave training (the option that cost 500G)? didnt seem to do anything for me

  6. Is the naked clothing working as expected (the one unlocked by Naru)? It seems it does not increase the naked sill (even the amount performed). Also, is it not being unlocked far too early? I would expect it to unlock only after mastering the skill. By the way, should not the exhibitionist trait (maker) allow for it to be unlocked as well?

    1. Naked skill requires you to perform Expose Herself actions to raise. Having slut trainer unlocks the Naked Dress earlier (skill1, rather than skill 3).
      Exhibitionist is actually a disadvantage but already reduces obedience requirements so further benefits would make no sense,

    2. But I tested it without slut trainer and also the naked dress does not increase, as I said, even the amount performed. I understand the need for exposing to increase the skill, but that is different, "wearing" it should be the same as executing the naked command.

      By the way, exhibitionism is supposed to be detrimental in that being naked should have some ill effects concerning some social interactions, which seems to not be implemented yet, not that all effects would be negative. The maker being a reference for the naked dress instead of Naru seems hardly an overreach.

  7. hi after a long time I played the game again and tried the newest version 3.4
    but something seems wrong in the assistant folder are folder for 89 different slaves
    but I always get the 2~3 pages with the same assistants again and again and no change when I start training a new slave

    and especially what happend to my favorites Manya & Minea

  9. Hi i have a sorta bug ot whatever.
    Slave: shampoo assist: rhea. lvl2 slavemaker skill
    Did the 3 fairy thingy i freed them, ate the gem to start transforming into fairy (already had the fairy ring) then i proceeded to develop my little slave. Than i happend to notice that my slaves beauty is still 100, (fairy affinity is 10) then i watched my slave stats instead of beauty his obedience is 105 which should be max 100.
    I dont know it is changed or not, or it is a known bug or just something is bad on my end.

  10. Sup!
    In the image folders there are Glory Hole images, was testing in game,
    figured they were part of the palace toilet event thing,
    but still havent managed to get them (the ones in the image folder that show butt in the glory hole).

    Any one know how to get them? or what event they are part of?

  11. Hi! Awesome game! But... can you add:
    1)some arrangemant of slaves\assistants, by source for example
    2)"free play" button to the "after" screen(where you can change house, and pick new slave), this button allows SM play without slave (as when main slave get sick)
    3)"date", and "swap" buttons to minor slaves dialog, "date" gives SM to "train" minor slave as main slave, but for a day(next day), "swap" simple swaps minor and main slaves(but if SM train slave timer don`t freeses, and to many days with own slave may result bad result...)
    4)i think, will be more correct add dialog with two options if slave refuses to do something "force"(or "rape" if sex), and "leave", if slave temperament high, force will lead to fight with slave, if SM win, or temperament high, slave will do what SM want, but with some lose of obedience and temperament, and joy resets to 0, if SM lose and bad endings is on, this will lead to bad ending "slave escaped", otherwise slave escapes "for a while"(and can be found at some location after some searches).
    5) Why SM can`t just release slave? With "freedom paper", for example, and make ex-slave your friend, or neighbor, or ex-slave will live at your house(no money reason)...hmmm... and work as assistant... but trained slaves is a slaves... they anyway can escape i think... it will be cool if as assistant can work only released slaves.

  12. Bug report: Upon loading a game, the slave's equipment buttons are just white, without any on them. They still work properly tought.
    I've got this bug on most of the slaves, so it must be a engine specific bug.

  13. Hey man! Don't get down. Bugs will come up almost all the time. You can't foresee EVERY issue. This game is great and you continue to do great things with it. Don't give up and keep up the outstanding work!

    1. I totally agree with this one! Cmac is doing an awesome work. This game is the most complete, in my opinion, as it has a lot of content.
      Started playing SM3 3 years ago, still following Cmac.

  14. Havn't been here in a year or so. Does anyone know if the tentacle hybrid/demon PC races have been updated? Enjoyed what was there, but they where pretty bare bones last time I checked.

  15. I have encountered what could be a ''graphical'' bug, though relatively minor I think) it's still enough of an annoyance to warrant some investigation, I would say.

    So, first... Done training my very first slave, Shampoo, which ended up becoming a 'Perfect Slave' thus being allowed to be recruited as my new Assistant.
    I then take a new slave, Aeris.
    After a few days, I saw that in the second 'tab' for her (where the singing/dancing/transformations/etc are listed) the current ''information'' for Aeris were being squished under (some) the ''information'' that Shampoo had before she was 'retired/became an assistant'. Those of Shampoo being mostly superposed over those of Aeris, and making it really hard to distinguish things.

  16. Hi there. I've have a bug i think. whenever in battle, if i'm hit with a lust attack, my lust automatically goes to max. which means i lose. also my constitution keeps dropping to 0 at random.I've been playing this game since ever and haven't encountered this until this version. did something change? this means i always lose when tentecle events happen. and have no hope of even attempting to train morrigan. thanks. and kudos for all contributors who help make this game as it good as it is.

    1. You could drop the 'combat' difficulty. It's in the options, first tab on the left.
      You can set it to auto-win battles.

      Maybe not 'THE' solution, but a temporary one at least.

  17. What are your thoughts about open sourcing this? If you stuck it up on github, issues could be raised and tracked in a more organised fashion and you would get people contributing, either with features or bug fixes.

    You've likely considered this; I'm just wondering about your thoughts are on it.

    1. I tried once to create a GitHub repo for the full game, but it is much too large, the upload failed every time.

      While I could do so just for the sourcecode, I would prefer not to. I enjoy working on the game and it is sort of my baby so I would prefer to keep control

    2. All right, makes sense. Though I would mention that putting it up on github doesn't mean you loose control. True, anyone can fork and make their own versions, but you still maintain control of your own project. If someone makes a fix or adds a feature, the changes need to be approved by you. It can be a useful way to offload the parts of development you don't care for.

      The size problem (resulting from the pictures, I imagine), is a bit annoying. A cool solution would be to implement some kind of p2p resource management system into the game itself. But that could be tremendously difficult. Or very easy. I've never done p2p development so I really don't know. And I've only seen it done in big title games.

  18. Honestly other than working on new cities I would work on making the houses explorable and linking the events that the text for some of the houses seem to imply. Smaller changes (as new cities is almost really a new game) but just as fun for the players!
