A relatively quick fix to address a few serious issues, notably minor slaves and white screens selecting new slaves.
Fixed the following
- Seer visit green screens
- Minor Slave purchasing
- events not respecting slave stats properly (ie proposition saying Shampoo ugly with Charisma 100)
- more thrown weapon issues
- white screen when selecting a new slave after ending training a previous slave

- Genma missing from assistant list (or first assistant in the Assistantx txt files)
- tentacle/furriy assistants listing in the assistant pulldownlist
- a few typos

- custom jobs, chores, schools not showing properly for xml
- ability to review Stats 2 page in Talk to Slaves. BUT this currently excludes skills like Dancing due to bacward compatibility issues

Just wondering, will you make a torrent of betas soon? I messed up one of the updates and now the game isn't working for me at all. I work better with torrents than downloading multiple links.

The throw weapons + skill, the translation, the minor slaves images, the assistants effects… But the new weapons (Tri-Blade and other) do not have their respective images and, I don’t know if anyone can reproduce this, but one Minor Slave do not vanish after being brought, so I can buy it over and over.

Neat. :D If you want a truly nasty thrown weapon, I suggest the hunga-munga. ;) I'd prefer a .73 calibre wheel-lock musquetoon loaded with small shot. >:D Has anyone yet considered the mace or flail(mistakenly referred to as a morning star)? The actual morgenstern (morning star) is a fixed-head mace with spikes rather than flanges.
DeleteMIA, if that Tri-Blade you refer to is a sword, look for pics from the Richard Lynch movie "Sword of Sorcery". Three blades, and they can be launched at the target. Kinda like the infamous "Spetznaz" ballistic knife.

It's was one of mine, Mia-Wayu. It never happens before and, with the new beta, I can buy her over and over. Speaking of the Minor Slaves, Aisaka has been removed in the English xml, but not in French and in Russian. Should she be removed there too? Plus the image for Thoth is too far on the left, some of it is cut.

When you say "Full Beta 17" is that the full game + all the beta stuff? I haven't really bothered with updating for beta stuff so I still have the 3.2.06a version, but since it looks like the beta is wrapping up, I'd like to give it a try.

Yet when I try to edit stats through there nothing changes in game. My save game got deleted so I'd like to get through some of the slaves I've already played.

where x the is save number. Locate the slave and edit. The slaves are alphabetically sorted.
You can also find using the debugging meny
a) hold Shift + Ctrl + click on the G in Gold
b) click the Debugging tab
c) click the Slave button
this lists all slaves and you will see an index number, this is the index into the array
Now that everything in-game is fixed, it’s time for a bunch of releases.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is for two new throwing-type weapons, a Chakram and the Steel Blue Fan. The Combat.XML goes in Language/English and must overwrite the file with the same name. The weapons images must be put in Images/Items/Weapons.

The second one is for my Minor Slaves. An XML Update for Ruto and Leanne Blood Type, revised stats for Nadia Fortune, Hanon now help with Singing by giving a boost of 0.5, Ruto help as well with Swimming by giving One Full Level. Several Minor Slaves, like Allura and Parasoul, got new images. Also, 3 new Minor Slaves: Priscilla (Fire Emblem), Lalum (a other FE) and Mileena (Mortal Kombat).

And finally, the Assistants release. An major XML Updates with revised cost/effects plus new images for several assistants, like Jade and Kitana.

No more stat points are the start of training (like +5 in Charisma), no more natural Talent/Deficiency. Everything is replaced by the ‘Blood Type Affinity’. Lillymon’s Fairy Transformation boost, Lethe’s boost to Catgirl training and Mint’s Tiredness decrease per day are still there. The Blood Type Affinity, that stack with the other Affinity boost of -4/+4%, give a bonus of 10-40% to one or several stats, depending of the Slave/Assistant Blood Type. It’s also apply to the ‘’XXX’’ type, for Panty and Stocking, and to the Unknown ‘?’ type, that Rei Ayanami, Samus and Sheena possess.

DeleteI have a little bug. Swimming, Dancing, Singing have undefined values. For example: Sensual Dancer (undefined). It happened with Kasumi as a first slave. In previous betas(15,16) I didn't encounter this.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to me as well. The skill does increase thought. Also, if ‘Unknown’ is put for the assistant/minor slave age, it shows NaN instead. (I should have put a ‘?’.) Plus, the images for the assistant’s raped event do not appear.

Deletecmac, can you please clearly add OFFICIAL name tag in front of all official slaves? Infact, I recommend adding information on whether the Slave is bug free and playable or not. You should just change the background box color and border of these official slaves so it makes it easier to identify them (and they should all be the in the top list).

well if you dont want to deal with buggy slaves you should wait for the actual release instead of using the beta. the point of the beta is to find and work out as many bugs as possible, while the full version is for general use

DeleteWell, what do you mean by "official" slave? I don't know if cmac did 100% of any of the slaves, but the vast majority are "third party" slaves while cmac does work on the core game. I don't think any of the "officially released" slaves were ever released "buggy" except for the Starfox girl who was released accidentally. Now, released as vanilla or with incomplete storylines... that's another story.

DeleteAlso, I frequently get strange bug recently no matter which beta. Every time I click a tab for activity game deducts money from slave and slave maker and I can keep clicking the tabs and switching between them and the game keeps deducting money until I am left with 0 gold. I am forced to reload the game but the bug remains (so I just have to be couscous and click the tabs I want).

- For minor hermaphrodite slaves it shows cock size: 1cm (or 0.6cm), when you hover over, it says clitoris size
- in text it says: Eri: undefined
on that third bullet point: it seems to be whoever you are training, since i've had it say things like "kasumi: undefined" or whoever i was training at the time

I did train Ryo recently (with the new beta) and there were no problems. He reveals his gender when the Obedience cap is attained (the ‘‘Trap’’ Event). Did you have all of his files: Slave-Ryo.xml, Slave-Ryo.swf, and all of the images?
Deletei had this problem in beta 16 and the upgrade came out RIGHT as i was about to end his training. the day before he was set to be sold off he revealed his gender, so it looks like the new beta should have this issue fixed

ReplyDeleteI've had this issue as well, but this is also the first time i've been training slaves as cumsluts too so i had just assumed you only get credit for the endings and cumslut overwrites courtesan, but i could be wrong on this. which endings did you get at the ends of your trainings
DeleteI've got Faerie, Half-Demon, Catslave, ending Winner, slave Kasumi. No courtesan and cumslut listed. I've called her cumslut but she still got Winner ending. In 3.206 Courtesan Training was added to the score and was listed in Special Trainings even if your slave was complete cumslut.

DeleteOne issue I've found with the XML events (the Latex Slave and the Demon in the Barn). Either the dialog is at the wrong place, like at the beginning of the text instead at the end, or repeat itself several times. Did it has something to do with the fix for the translations, zince this fix stopped the translated dialogs to switch?

But after Demon Slave Maker ending images of Slave Maker in game have disappeared. I suggest that for Demon game should use another folder. ReplyDeleteI find that as I go I am editing, re-writing, and revising your tut so that it better makes sense for people who haven't worked with SM before. However I keep finding that the information provided is either vague, outdated, or incomplete.
For example, in Lesson2 Dresses.rtf, there are numerous images that are missing. There are also repeated references to a RobeXClip, In flash, I cannot find a robexclip anywhere in the library, nor anything resembling it.
I'm pretty sure I can edit dresses without the help of your tut, but I am having difficulties publishing a .swf that doesn't freak out at this point. For sake of clarity, I am trying to adhere to your instruction.
Also there is explicit instruction to conform to ActionSript2, but what version of Flash are we trying to be compatible with? Is XML discussed at all?
a) The RobexClip are movieclip instances on the timeline for the example slave given (Akane or the Base girl) - check the laters named Dress 1 etc near the bottom

Mushashi, when she does the "Brothel" job, pics rotate/flash very quickly. It's like planning a epileptic seizure for a player.

Mihoshi, when trained as a dickgirl - no images are given when plugging her up with anal plug.
Took a quick look at the xml, is it missing some xml templates for such image search?

DeleteI've just noticed that, if you accept the reading from the Seer the first time you meet her, the background with the crystal ball remain in the main screen. The only way to make it disappear is to visit the Seer again.

I am also getting an odd glitch that is moving some oral actions into the "others" category at night. currently it is saying i have 2 pages of sex acts, the second page is nothing but "foot job", in the others category on page 1 there is "lick you" and "foot job" while the oral section on that page also has "foot job" but is completely missing the "lick you" one...i dont even use foot job
Deletehas something happened to the tentacle abduction events? ive gone through about 8 slaves in this beta and the last combined, but never once has a slave been kidnapped. i've fiddles with the tentacle frequency options and they seem to work fine for the other normal tentacle events, but this one seems to not trigger at all.

Same here with Mansion, checked with 4 slaves: Kasumi, Shampoo, Mihoshi, Eri, go out turned on in rules.

every time I update my 3.2.06 version with any of the beta files I can no longer select a slaver icon and when I purchase a slave and pick a place to live I keep hearing a beeping sound like something is being selected but I am unable to select anything, so basically I can't play at all.

I have just installed beta 17, and some how it erased my minor slaves. Where can I download them and where do I put the file?
ReplyDeleteFor Aeris, I’ve found that the faeries events are broken. For example, when I talk to Erina at the Beach, she attacks Aeris. Instead of the combat happening, I got a window with blank text and I return to the slave main screen. If I return to the Beach, I meet her again and the battle event can fire again and again. So, with that, plus the special bottoms that does not appear (Milk Her etc), make any of her special endings unobtainable.
ReplyDeleteI also get a blank (no-text) screen when I meet the breasted slave at the Slave Pens and choose the second option, Promise to Help.
Request: It would be nice to have an option (rule ? dress ?) to make the slave always naked. It's boring to have to select the Naked button everyday. What would be even more fun is a special training or ending for slaves that choose to stay naked (it should be a requirement for perfect catgirl or perfect ponygirl).
ReplyDeleteBugs: When training Sakura, there is lots of white screens, "work as a ninja" produce an untranslated german comment, and there is no picures for "work as a public relief". Also, the bonus she gives as an assistant are huge (which suits me but unbalance the game).
Question: why not opensource it ? You'd get more hands to help you develop.

I believe training Naru (or one of the other slaves) unlocks the naked "dress" and allows your slave to prance about lustily in her birthday suit.
DeleteRegarding the Aeris missing buttons (milk her and such), if you finish the game and keep her as an assistant, it will show on the new slave. If you load an old savegame with her, only one button reapears
