Slave Maker 3.3.03a

There were a few problems in the Slave Maker 3.3.03 release. I have corrected these issues and updated the game to version 3.3.03a

I would recommend updating your game to 3.3.03a but if you did not see any issues then feel free to not upgrade.

Fixes:
  • 400GP per day being spent of catgirl gear
  • NaN for clit/cock sizes
  • statistic hints for fucking was wrong for efeminate slaves
  •  could not walk to some custom xml based houses (Kiyone notably)
  • custom contests has a bug for xml implementations
  • includes the previous Gardevoir fix
  • re-encodes some images a person reported an antivirus issue for (NOTE: not an infection or problem but most likely a possible buffer overrun issue, only ever was an issue for older operating systems)

 I have two types of updates here, I have updated the previous update, so we have one that will upgrade from 3.3.01 or later.

I have updated the full version torrent to include all the fixes, including a group of files for M.I.A's assistant and minor slaves I missed. Similarly for some of Drekas99's minor slaves.

You can just stop seeding/downloading the previous version of the 3.3.03 torrent and start this one, It will continue the download and update and add any missing files.

    Is it possible to zip/rar the full release before making a torrent of it? My torrent program crashes with all the files as it is now :(

      If you are using Vuze then check the Java VM memory settings. Select advanced interface (Tools, Options) and then Startup and Shutdown. Check the Max Heap memory and increase to say 400Mb

      Same issue as OP, I use utorrent and also its slow when adding the files, a .rar or .zip would be faster, and probably better for transfer too.

      Okay, I just want to be clear here, archive files for torrents are a fucking cancer.

      I appreciate that you're having problems, but archive files are usually unusable without dearchiving, and dearchived versions are not the same as the archived version, so can't stand in for the torrent, thus forcing a seeder to have two copies if they actually want to use it. Moreover, an archive as a single file prevents other users from grabbing the pieces they need and avoiding wasting time and bandwidth, they have to get the whole goddamn thing.

      Anon3, You also forgot the point that they can significantly reduce file sizes if done right. That's why they're still commonly used in the age of torrents. I've literally cut 10+gb files in half using compression. Cancer my arse!

    I really like the improvements in 3.3.03, especially the faster load times and the fixes on displayed information.

    I want to thank you for the big effort and determination that you put into this game! In my opinion, this is the best h game all around internet: even better than the best japanese ones.
    I wanted to ask something out of the current argument: the Tentacle Converted background has a description that says "tentacle whore slave and maker ending", but i've never been able to get one of those endings; aren't they implemented yet?
    And a last thing: when training the slave Motoko, is possible to get into the room when something abuse her during the night at your home and you are too scared to get in (wtf?) ?

    All my new slaves are still lesbians after patching. Does the fix require a new game?

      The fix does not change any variables in the game, so if they were lesbians before they will still be lesbians. Sorry, but you will have to use an earlier save or start a new game.

      Note: in the file configuration.xml there is a default sexuality field that defines the starting sexuality for all slaves. Please check that value, maybe you have an edited version?

    Thanks for the fixes. Regarding the loss of ClitCockSize variable, I was hoping it would at least recreate the variable when that value is changed, but I did the Meigura quest and chose beauty but the changes did not save. I checked the save file and indeed, the variable is still missing.

    Is there any way that these variables could be recreated when missing, even if they are reset to the ClitCockSizeStart value? Or do I need to go back to my pre-3.03.3 save? Thank you.

      Actually, I guess I'm being silly. A minor issue that's easily resolvable by loading an old save is hardly worth extra coding. But you may want to mention it in your release notes for 3.03.3a that people need to use a save from before it got broken.

      Actually, I think the bug still exists. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but here is how I tested.

      I loaded my 3.3.01 save (which still has the ClitCockSize variable for all slaves) in 3.3.03a (I used the upgrade and the version shows correctly on the main menu). That save was right after finishing a training so I started a new one (Misty), picked an Assistant (Rebecca), and instantly saved. When I inspect that save, the ClitCockSize variable has still been stripped from all slaves in the new save file.

      So, as far as I can tell, while the GUI no longer shows NaN, the variable is still being eliminated on save and new changes to that body part are not preserved.

      I'm afraid it doesn't seem to. Here were my steps:

      1) I installed the new Slave-GenericSlave.swf to the /Slaves directory (on a full torrent 3.3.03 install patched with 3.3.03a).
      2) I checked the old 3.3.01 save via .minerva, ClitCockSize variable is present for all slaves. (I also checked via a python app I wrote to check the JSON to rule out my overlooking it and to check all 222 entries in the SlavesArray instead of just spot checking.)
      3) I loaded that old save, chose New Slave, picked Misty, assistant Rebecca, and saved the game.
      4) I checked the new save via .minerva and my app and ClitCockSize is missing for all slaves.

      I double checked that I have the new SWF in place (MD5: 65564162be719e05ffc836e668d1e421).

      I just want to point out one thing I touched on above. It's not just removing the variable for the one active slave. It's stripping it from every slave in the entire sm#slaves.sol file.

      (P.S. Do you prefer one of the forums for bug reports/discussion? If so I'd be happy to move this there if it makes it easier for you.)

      I just tried one more thing in addition to the above. The 3.3.01 save I was using in my tests was my "Asuka (after)" save, which obviously loads into the "New Slave, etc." menu when I load it and I performed the steps I mentioned above.

      This time I chose the save before it, which was just a normal "Asuka" save from 3.3.01. I then resaved to a new slot and checked, and again, ClitCockSize was stripped from every entry in the SlavesArray.

      The file is not really a test, just a rebuild to ensure the latest class versions were present, so use by all means, it is not in the fix as it did not help, and actually thinking more it would not excelpt in exceptional cases.

      I haven't had a chance to do any testing beyond this, but I can confirm that in both of my above scenarios (new generic slave->save, resave of asuka) with 3.3.03b, the ClitCockSize variable is no longer being stripped from the file. So that's great news.

      I'll try to do some more testing later, such as getting that variable to change via in-game quest. Thanks again.

      It's looking good. Quest changes to that variable are serializing properly. And I've encountered no other relevant issues.

      I did notice that when I started the new training, I did not get my 300GP bonus. But I didn't really care and didn't investigate further - there may be a good reason for it or which I'm not aware.

    I believe there is a bug with Arak... After giving birth to Arak's... progenies, the PregnancyCount and PregnancyType values do not reset, and the fertility drops to zero. The number of children is added (TotalSMChildren), but these settings don't go away, after several days, it remains.

    If I manually reset the PregnancyCount and PregnancyType values (the not-pregnant state), and set a fertility percentage above 0, the fertility will drop back to 0 the next round (morning, evening), but the Pregnancy... values remain 0 (I mean, the PregnancyType empty).

      The count and type variables are not reset or changed after a pregnancy. The PregnancyGestation variable is the controlling variable and defines the state of a pregnancy

      Actually, after the Arak-pregnancy the PregnancyGestation is set to -1000, and there is no addition to the children. Is seems, the event does not end. Just for curiosity, I ended a slave training session, and started a new slave, but the stats (PregnancyCount: 6; PregnancyGestation: -1000; PregnancyType: Arak) remained. There is no sign of ending the pregnancy, there was no indication of any birthing event, no text, no image display, nothing.

    After i load a game, my catslave training is reset to 20/100 (it was something like 47 before i save/loaded. Tried it two times - definately a bug with Minako, but it may be a problem with others too.

    Thx for the update, but i have still some image issues. Those minor slaves got no image: Titania Tiamat, Parvati, Lilim, Faerie Titania, Tanith, Sigrum, Healry, Fatina, Supergirl, Zoey, Wonder woman. Its the new download + 3.3.03a fix. additionally i got no images of ariel when i start the training. P.S. That game is really great and a big thx for all the work!!

      I think the full torrent version 3.3.03 does not have those images, since they were added in the 3.3.03a torrent. So, either you download that other torrent, or you grab those links. PS: Only take the images folder, and not the SlaveXXX.XML, since they won't be up to date.

    I have this weird bug. All my slave in slave market are still there however most of them are not show in picture on screen. I but still can pick them to train from the name list. I didn't have this bug until update to 3.3.03.

      Are you using the full version of the game?

      As noted the updates are not a complete game and are missing many files. If you try playing with the update only you will get issues like this

      Most likely you have updated wrong somehow, probably installed an update into a subfolder and are now playing in that subfolder?
      Check in you game folder, and the subfolder Slaves. Do you see the slave images like
      Slave - Akane.png
      etc
      These are the images that show in the slave mkarket.
      The update 3.3.03 had a Slaves subfolder but no images in that folder, just xml and txt files.

      This is why it sound like you upgraded wrong in some way or did not merge the folders correctly.

      The game is currently 3.6Gb, not 5+Gb so you must have some problems with your game installation.

      If you can afford the bandwidth you may like to try the full download

      I saw all png files in folder. My game folder 5.XXGB is probably because most of .rar that i used for update still there. However, I will redownload everything as you suggested because I want my full game to have the least amount of bug.

    Minor Bug:

    If i start training a new Weapon, the stat doesen't show up in my SlaveMaker Stats Tab II. I have to save the game and reload. After that die stat is shown correctly.

    I ran into a slight bug when training akane and bying the bow and arrow after I got the hammer when I go to buy the bow it gives me an aphrodisiac and puts me in the shop instead of armory

    i have a slight issue with a save game after upgrading to 3.3.03a. I just trained Shampoo in 3.3.03 and completed the training. But when i load the game in 3.3.03a shampoo still needs to be trained but my stats and all are still from the previous game.

      Please check yout options (system tab, options). Do you have Dandbox moed enabled in the GamePlay tab? If that mode is set slaves do not get removed from the market after being trained

      I have a more recent translation (still quite incomplete) I have not included it as it needed soe restructuring due to xml changes, mainly for houses, combat, but some others

      That is a small glass of vanilla icecream. It indicates the slave is vanilla with little customisation above the generic events common to all slaves

      This is an option to not show the vanilla slaves, at the bottom of the slave selection screen. It's enabled by default. For the assistants, there is the pull-down list, but it’s not the same as an 'go back/previous' button.

      Right, and right--just asking for minor improvements. Instead of filter for "all vs. custom (no vanilla)", was wondering if it can be upgraded to "all vs. custom vs. vanilla" so the players can pick out the vanilla ones easier.

      Personally, I like those non-custom ones while my SM's stats are still low and special training skills haven't been unlocked yet.

      For the assistants, because the list is so long, if you want to go back to look at another in a previous page, cycling through the entire list takes a long time.

      Come to think of it, filters for hiding slaves and assistants that can't be accessed yet would be nice, too.

    Not sure if it has been mentioned or if it's known, but there is a small problem with the 'Love' mechanics, in that it seems that your main slave (the one you're training)'s declaration seem to be stalled by the declaration of your minor slaves, in reverse alphabetic order. What I'm currently seeing is: every two days, a minor slave confesses their love for the slave maker, while the main slave's love meter remains maxed, apparently until every other minor slave that would declare their love to the slave maker has done so.

    This poses a significant problem for the non-freelancer slave makers. Is it possible to implement an override or priority order for love mechanics?

      For this a slave only confesses once. So in general this is not a problem, You just have a left over from where confessions where not working well.

      Still, for the next release I will later so the current slave confesses first

    when I start my game to start playing only single day actions appear 2 boxes says undefined actions give recharge and is composed of updates and DOWNLOAD and start a new game but still the same it is also the event that the slave disappears I have to go and rescue her from the tentacles even without permission to leave alone

    Thanks for the update, however, I am having an issue. Both the mediafire download and the rapidshare downloads for the 3.3.03a FUll Version torrents have nothing to download and only show an error. Is that an issue on my end or is the download source corrupt?

      Just delete the 5 (or 6?) files, that cause the error. The cause the error beacuse the never files are a bit smaler.
      Two of the are the assistant angewoman.xml and angewoman-french.xml

    The clit/cock size variables and breast size variables for slaves are resetting on a pretty regular basis. It seems to happen a lot of the time when I save/load and every time I close the game and start it up again.

      Dropped torrents on server. If other people have problems with the full version torrent rename it to full.torrent and it shouldn't be an issue. The periods for the version causes problems depending on what handles it.

      Anoter issue i have is, that i do not get any Catsupplys from Lady Farun, no mather how often i visit her. In Former Games i always got the oppurtunity to buy those by the first visit with my new slave. Do i miss something or is there something different than before?

      Did you already have to cat items, either with the Advanced Creation, or by using Lethe as assistant? If so, it would be normal for Lady Farun not to sell them to you.

      The Catgirl module by Lilith Dark Elven adds a process where the ears+ tail are bought autmatically without needing to viait Lady Farun.

      I'm so sorry, I didn't encountered the Furries at the Forrest so I wasn't even aware of the possibility of training Catgirls.

      What misled me was the fact that in the "Slave Stats 2" Tab the catgirl trainig information (1/100) was already shown.
      I think in former versions this stat appreared just after the Mistress was aware of the possibility to train her Slaves into Catslaves. Correct me if I'm wrong :-)

    Someone(don't remember who) offers a chastity belt in the center unlimited amout of times. It does not matter if i accept or decline, next time a belt will be offered again. Also there is no text if i accept a belt.

      What slave are you training? This is not part of the core game, but it might be part of the Dark Magic event. This event is not quite complete though. It is a 3rd party event

      Very linkely you are just trying to play the update/upgrade only. You need to have a full version of the game, I suggest downloading 3.3.03a. Or install the upgrade overtop of your existing game installation

    The images for Threesome don't appear for Rikku. A generic image will appear if it's all female (I've tried having the images in Images/Slaves/Rikku, Images/Rikku, and both) Also, Zelda's assistant image won't appear unless it's in Images/Zelda, but her images as a slave appear to work in Imaages/Slaves/Zelda (I only checked a few). A temporary fix is to have both folder locations. This might be an issue with other slaves when they become assistants as well.

    When loosing the match against Lady Gray she invited me to the Onsen. When I got there ( personal supervision of slave job) the event started like it should but the last text page was missing.(First text pages are ok only the last one after her sister leaves is blank) The picture is shown but no text.

      That was in Version 3.3.03a (from the full Torrent copied over an 3.3.03 Version). The Assistent was shampoo and the slave Kasumi.

      I checked each link, everything should be fine. As I said the updates of MIA, for Gardevoir and version 3.3.03a are already included.
      And for the safety of everyone: I'm using AVG Antivir for about 8-10 years, always updated daily and never had any problems with bad software (virus/trojan) ;)

    In the Give Orders to household, what does 'Play' do? It was the one option that you didn't describe.

    Also, does the Fitness event work the same as for the slave-in-training? (It seems to decrease the household slave's Conversation.)

      I have quite a large household, and selecting from the bottom of the list gets time-consuming, particularly now that the list resets to alphabetical instead of order-of-acquisition (upon new slave, I think).

      Anybody else has a problem to change the chores(orders) of his/her minor Slaves?
      If i want to change them, at first I have to "clear" the orders, then confirm by "leaving" and then again go on "give orders" and set them anew.
      Elsewise (by just delete the given orders) and directly try to set a new pair, i can just set 1 order not two. (90% of the time)

      If you're willing to change the behavior (well, add the concept 'selection'), then, you can use Lilith Dark-Elven's idea of "[J]ump down the list to the first slave starting with the letter you press".

      i.e. Press 'C', and

      ...
      Caaaa <--- gets selected/highlighted*
      Cbbbb
      Ccccc
      ....

      * but not moved to the participant list, yet.

      Probably can go a step beyond LDE's suggestion and do progressive match so users can type "cb" to get to the second slave whose name starts with 'C' and highlight her.

      Then, use 'Enter' (or 'Return' key for non-PC's?) to move to the participant list. Think you can keep the click behavior the same.

      A large number of players have large households, so this may be a worthwhile improvement. Yet, what do I want most from cmacleod? Hmmm...

      Lady Grey story > Ranma upgrade > ... > keyboard shortcuts.

      the default should be 30, is this the case for you

    Hmmm... I started a new game on 3.3.03a and nothing works like before.
    Ryo has many bugs... for exampel every day he tells me he is a boy after I found out. So nothing else happens in the morning ... no events, no trader no competitions.
    Ryo changes between male and female and get pregnant after a week or so (as a male). He is allways gay as male and lesbian as female.
    The ruins quest ends after I found the potion. I deliver it but nothing happens. No ruins on the map.
    Btw. is it normal at Freelancer that Ryo,Naru and some other slaves have a endtime of her training?

      No, wait... i had a bug. His Obedience flipped from 150/150 to 300/150 (out of scale) and the red Bar blew trough the screen on the right side. It happended when i made him call me Mistress. At first i thought it is just a joke and that the stat will go back to normal the next day but it stayed like that until the end of training.

      At the beginning Ryo is female/lesbian.
      After I recover he is a boy it changes to male/gay but sometimes flips back to female. On a few good days he/she is hetero.
      But the biggest problem is that there is no morning event/contest because he comes every morning to tell me he is a boy. No answer changes this.

    You could try my 4shared link as well that is 8 posts up as well although right now you need to create/sign in with a 4shared account to get it. Other than that it is broken up in to 4 files so just download all 4 files and extract it with a program such as winrar and you're good to go.

    I can try to explain it to you.

    To get it from 4shared you need an account so go here:

    http://www.4shared.com/signup.jsp
    type in your email, and password. The free account is what you want.
    Once your account is created login to your account if your not already.
    You will need to verify your account first. If you already have an account just sign in to it. After that just go to my 4shared site which is:

    Click the directory called Slave Maker 3.3a 4 part download

    Should be 4 files in there. Click the part 1 file. Click the download button. Then click the free button. Wait 20 seconds or so and a download file link should appear. Click the link and the download should start. Repeat until you have all 4 files. Hopefully that helps with 4shared.

    Some Ending Issues after 3.3.03b was installed,
    first the button keep slave to yourself is not available anymore for the freelancer, (but I haven't seen in in 3.3.03a either, is it gone?)

    second even when the score is over 100 the brought back or love ending doesn't show up.

      Did it happen with a certain slave or assistent or with all of them? I play freelancer too and the option to buy the slave back appears only if i play that slave for at least 20 days ( more or less). If i only test the slave for a few days the option doesn´t appear.

    So, I installed 3.3.03a on top of 3.3.00 in the hope that for once my save games didn't get killed. An they didn't. Got all save games. All slaves. All equipment too. But my slavemaker lost his stats. Not the red bars, but all the stats you can normally buy with upgrade points after end training, even weapon skills. Any ideas of how to bring them back?

    Thanks for all the updates.It´s a great game.
    I installed 3.3.03b from the full torrent over 3.3.00 and allmost everything worked fine, just the evil mine event got reseted to the part when the slave at the docks got missing. However Lady Gray still knows me and wasn´t attacked at the docks this time i just could asks her about the mine from the start.

      Hmm it's a long time since I've played as a freelancer. I'm remembering the time limit was there too, but it's only the value and I could train the slaves just over that time without happening anything bad.
      As a guild member the training is finished straight on that day. So does your training end on that day or can you just go on? If second everything is fine. If it ends ... congratulations, you found a bug

      Naru and Shampoo (and a few others?) have limits, but most can be trained indefinitely by a freelancer.

      To check (in v3.3.03 or later): start a new slave, go to the calendar, and advance a month or two to see if there's an ending day marked.

    Potential issue, though a minor one:
    Fertility in the Config doesn't seem to be respected by the game.
    Set Fertility to 100, Started new game, Turned off Contraception.
    No "[SlaveName] is pregnant" flavor text showed up.

    Then again I only tested for the active slave, not the assistants.

    Bug report: Blackjack at the Red Lily is totally broken. Just had a round where I had two Threes of Diamonds and the dealer and I both had a Two of Diamonds. I'm sensing that correct blackjack rules and strategy is a very low-level concern, but I'd been watching to see if this one cropped up...

    If anybody has problems getting some of Tohsaka's images to show up, check the Slave-Tohsaka.xml, and under "" look for what should be "" but is missing the "<" and fix that. That was the problem with the files I got anyway. Stupid OCD made me spend a good hour or two looking for a solution to this silly little thing... Orz
